Environmental Policy
Version v1 — effective 29 August 2026
DEVİCEYE YAZILIM MEDİKAL TEKNOLOJİLER ANONİM ŞİRKETİ is a software company; it has no production facility or field operation. Our environmental impact therefore concentrates in two places: our customers' paper consumption and the energy use of our hosting infrastructure. This policy covers our commitments in both.
1. Paperless field work
Fire safety inspections are traditionally carried out on paper forms — one form per device, one copy per visit. The core function of our product is to digitise those forms:
- Inspection forms are completed on a mobile device; photographs and the customer's signature are captured digitally.
- Reports are presented on screen and as PDF by default; printing is not required.
- Device labels are read via QR code, removing the need to print a new label at every visit.
2. Digital archive
Past inspection records, photographs and signatures are kept in the system, removing the need for a physical file archive. Retention periods are defined in the Data Retention and Erasure Policy: data is not accumulated indefinitely — expired records are deleted. That is a deliberate choice, both for privacy and for storage resources.
3. Efficient use of hosting resources
- The application and database run on virtual servers sized to actual need; idle capacity is not kept running.
- Images are compressed and served in modern formats; a smaller page means less data transferred and therefore less energy consumed.
- Static content is cached, so the same content is not recomputed on every request.
- Expired backups and temporary files are cleaned up by scheduled jobs.
4. Office practices
- The team can work remotely; non-essential travel is avoided.
- Contracts, quotes and invoices are handled electronically; wet signatures are used only where the law requires them.
- Electronic devices taken out of use are not discarded but handed to authorised e-waste collection points.
5. Review
This policy is reviewed at least once a year. As the company grows (office, headcount, infrastructure) its scope will be extended. For comments and suggestions: [email protected].
